The commemorative exhibition "10 years on:" showcases a diversity of thoughts, memories and opinions, both from people who experienced 22 July on their bodies and people who did not. What do we think of when we think of July 22? What does "never again 22 July" mean to you - to us?
Remembrance commemorations give us the opportunity to stop and look up. To look back, and to look forward.
In the exhibition 10 years on: we want to showcase a diversity of thoughts and opinions. In the exhibition, we hear both from people who directly experienced 22 July and people who did not, but who still have memories and thoughts about the terror attack that they want to share.
Today's school pupils have no or few memories of 22 July. Selma and Lilou from Fyrstikkalleen School contribute to the commemorative exhibition with their winning entry for the 22 July Centre's School Competition. They say: «this is also our history».
Furthermore, we ask the audience: What do we think of when we think of 22 July? What does «never again July 22» mean to you – to us? We hope you will join the conversation – 10 years on.
The exhibition opened on 15 July 2021 and is available to the public for one year. It is curated by the 22 July Centre. Design and exhibition architecture are by Blæst design and Torsteinsen design. Photographer Andrea Gjestvang has contributed a new, strong photo series of survivors and survivors.
