Construction start of permanent centre
On Tuesday 2 May, the 22 July Centre's director Lena Fahre and project manager Alexandra Perez-Seoane were in Johan Nygaardsvold's Square to mark the start of the construction of the permanent 22 July Centre. Minister of Education Tonje Brenna symbolically began the building process. Also present were the Minister of Industry Jan Christian Vestre, AUF leader Astrid Willa Hoem, and representatives of the National Support Group Tor-Inge Kristoffersen and Gro Lindstad.

2 Mai, 2023 - Groundbreaking marks the start of the construction start of the 22 July permanent centre.
I believe that a permanent 22 July Centre is really important for Norway. Both to preserve what we already know and have documented (...), but also because of those growing up today, who do not have their own memories of 22 July. That they can come to the Centre and learn, and be aware of what happened. But also reflect on their role in contributing to make sure that this never happens again.
